My name is Dr Siobhan Osgood and I am an architectural historian with a special interest in nineteenth-century and industrial architecture. I am fascinated by the construction process, and my research focuses on draughtsmanship, materials, manufacturing and construction crafts.
I have taught architectural history post-1800 to the present day at Trinity College Dublin, as well as medieval architecture. I love engaging with students, specialist and non-specialist audiences, and have given numerous conference presentations and guest lectures. See publication list.
My doctoral research was fully funded by the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship by the Irish Research Council. For the full list see awards and scholarships.
Take a look at my publications in books, journals, blogs and newspapers. I have also been interviewed on radio and currently present the Hidden Heritage social media posts for Irish Rail.
